Combined Federal Campaign

As our Chapter was recently approved as an electable charity for the upcoming Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), meeting attendees discussed upcoming CFC events at local Air Force Bases at which information can be provided about the Air Force Association and our Chapter. Volunteers are needed to prepare marketing material and staff tables at these events. Dave Shiller and Tim Tichawa are leading efforts to organize our Chapter’s support. Meeting attendees also discussed approved methods to distribution information and the associated costs to advertise in Base newspapers. Kristen Christy is handling the printing of flyers and items to be handed ourt. Our Chapter Web Site is current and up to date information regarding the campaign. A CFC logo is posted to our Chapter’s home page to make it easy for individuals to contribute. The 2015 CFC Campaign runs from September through January.

State AFA Meeting

Several members attended the annual State AFA Banquet. This year’s banquet was hosted by the Mile High Chapter. The banquet was held August 21st at the Denver Tech Center Marriott Hotel. Sijan Chapter and Board Member Ms. Barbara Binn was selected as this year’s Member of the Year for the State. Several other members from the Chapter received recognition and awards for their contributions to AFA.
