Doug Kendall is the ENSCO Program Manager for a Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) program for the Range & Network Division at the Space & Missile Systems Center (SMC) at Los Angeles AFB, CA. Doug has 30+ years of acquisition, engineering, and space operations experience and success—holding key leadership, engineering, logistics/sustainment, program management, and staff positions throughout his career, including holding prominent positions at SMC—Director of Systems Engineering and Spacelift Range Group Commander. His AF career included engineering on the Peacekeeper ballistic missile program; served on & led space crews in Turkey during DESERT STORM; led crews performing satellite operations at Schriever AFB and commanded units in space/missile training. After retiring from the AF as a Colonel, Doug worked the next 6 years with Honeywell leading a logistics/maintenance team on the Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) program. Doug joined ENSCO, Inc, a small business engineering company, in early 2015 working as a Senior Staff Systems Engineer on the SE&I team supporting the launch ranges. ENSCO was recently awarded the contract for which he is now the Program Manager.
Doug achieved numerous awards, distinctions and medals during his distinguished 30-year Air Force career, including the Legion of Merit, the Kuwait Liberation Medal, and numerous other awards. He earned two Bachelor of Science degrees—one in Computer Science and the other in Electrical Engineering. Additionally, he earned a Masters of Science and Systems Management degree and a Masters of Strategic Studies degree from the Air War College (residence). He also earned Level III Program Manager certification at SMC and now maintains PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.
