The Chapter is also pleased to announce our Chapter Teacher Of the Year (TOY), Ms. Mary Gregory, an outstanding individual who is devoted to generating enthusiasm and excellence in her classroom for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). As a Lewis Palmer High School Astronomy, Chemistry and Algebra instructor in grades 9-12, Ms. Gregory has devoted over 25 years as a teacher, mentor and motivator for her students. Lewis Palmer Principal, Bridget O’Connor stated, “Mary passion fuels enthusiasm. Within minutes of meeting with Mary, one cannot help but sense her intense conviction for the field of science, students, and authentic learning opportunities.” As our Teacher of the Year, Ms. Gregory received a $250 check from National AFA and a $250 check from the Sijan Chapter.
