This year’s Lance P. Sijan Chapter Scholarship winner was Mr. Chris Herz, a biology student at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. The check for $1000 was presented to Mr. Herz by Jeff Womelsdorf on 12 Sep 2022 at UCCS. Mr. Herz is a multiple time AFA scholarship winner and is currently working to finish his degree in Biology. After he receives his Biology degree, Mr. Herz plans on attending medical school. Regarding the scholarship, Mr. Herz said “This really helps with the cost of books and other essential materials for my schooling and I truly appreciate the AFA for giving me this scholarship.”
