MenuGeneral Background

The Lance P. Sijan Chapter of the Air Force Association organizes and hosts the Air Force Ball each year to provide a wonderful social event for the Air Force community of the Front Range.  The theme for the 2016 Ball is “The Air Force and Colorado – A Long and Great Partnership” and the program will emphasize that longstanding partnership.

We hold the event at the world class Broadmoor because it is the most elegant venue in town and can accommodate the number of guests the Ball attracts.  Generous corporate sponsorship’s and corporate table sales subsidize the ticket prices to make this event affordable for all.  Only a non-profit organization like the Air Force Association can solicit those contributions, which we are pleased to do, because it enables us to offer a fine evening to Cadet, Reserve, Guard, Active Duty and Civilian Air Force members along the Front Range.  Any profits from the event are given back to the Air Force community in many ways, from scholarships to supporting unit awards programs.

The evening begins with a cocktail reception in Colorado Hall, followed by an exceptional dinner in the International Center, and this memorable event concludes with dancing in Colorado Hall.  We are pleased to have Martini Shot, a renowned local horn-powered Pop Rock group provide our entertainment.  A special event of the Air Force Ball each year is the announcement of the General Jerome F. O’Malley Award.  The Lance P. Sijan Chapter established this Distinguished Space Leadership Award to recognize the outstanding contributions of Space leaders.  General O’Malley provided the leadership that ultimately resulted in the creation of today’s Air Force Space Command, on October 1, 1982.  Come to the Ball to find out who is this year’s winner!

Sijan Chapter Members,

Next year’s Air Force Ball is scheduled for February 12, 2016. As always, it will be held at the Broadmoor International Center. The Ball will be a great celebration as it coincides with the Valentine’s Day weekend.

The Ball can not occur without the generosity of our corporate and table sponsors.   As your companies finalize their 2016 budgets, please earmark funds for sponsorship and for table purchases.  Please help ensure the success of our region’s Air Force Ball by planning for this event in your 2016 budgets.

Also, please mark the date on your own personal calendars and encourage others in your companies to do likewise. Your personal support to the Ball ensures continued success and provides a memorable evening for military members, their guests, and other honorees. It is your support that has made the Sijan Chapter the best chapter in the nation and Colorado Springs a great place to c2015HighlightPic-400x400aall home

Once again, thank you for your support.
