Lance P. Sijan Membership,

As we embrace 2021 with hopes that we are turning the corner on a crippling 2020, we send a solidified prayer of hope for each and every one of you. We are starting of this year as strong as ever and have been increasing our scheduled events as national  and local law have allowed. We have an extremely dedicated core of volunteers, but as with any military affiliated organization, some of our members have been tagged with assignments and are moving on to new assignments pastures just at a time where we need to be visible and relevant as Space Force celebrates its first year under the Department of the Air Force. In particular, we are looking for someone to organize our social media platform and general membership meetings so as many members as possible can join together to become re-acquainted with the Sijan Chapter in 2021. As some of you may have been wondering about the Air Force Ball, we are locked in for 18 Sept 21 at the Broadmoor, and if you interested to give a helping hand please reach out to afball.lancepsijanafa@gmail.com.

In this technological age, we are looking for Cyber minded individuals with expertise to mentor a student through our StellarXplorers team, a CyberPatriot team or become a volunteer at a Cyber Generations and CyberCamp this summer.  Are you eager to engage with the world again? How about assisting our Community Partner Vice President in contacting local business for their support? We are always seeking Arnold Air Society, Silver Wings, or Angel Flight alumni to mentor or reach our local cadets. If you are interested please contact us and we can get you in touch with our local school leadership. We need a liaison to these organizations at CU-Boulder and Colorado State to open the flow of communication between AFA and the individuals who are the future of AFA. Joins our efforts to bridge the gaps and lead and mentor our next generation to success.

As our nation is turning the corner on the Pandemic, we have a couple of opportunities for some of you get involved. As we are losing some of our key players on our amazing core team due to PCS season, we still need to support to our Airmen, Guardians and their families. Please consider reaching out to me at michael.bryant.10@spaceforce.mil or to any of our Chapter officers to help us keep the Lance P. Sijan Chapter strong, more relevant, and fully capable of embracing our Air Force and Space Force membership. We are determined to make a difference in our local community and need your support to keep hope alive.

Special Mention: Please join me in congratulating our Sijan Chapter Vice President, Senior Master Sergeant Gearld Morey, who just received the Space Operations Command 2021 Spirit of Hope Award! This award is presented to men, women and organizations of the United States Armed Forces, entertainers and other distinguished Americans and organizations whose patriotism and service reflect Bob Hope’s service. “G”, well deserved, my friend! We are rooting for him as he competes at the Air Force-level.

Also to the unwavering support of our Community Partners that have helped us remain active. We were able to show our love and admiration for a few of our Community Partners over the Christmas break and hope to engage with more of you as the year proceeds. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support as we battled through our time of separation. Read more………
