President’s Comments/Update (Kristen Christy)

– Air Force Ball Recap: Heard that everyone really enjoyed it; want a hot wash next week and include the NORAD folks since they were part of the walkthrough; made about $30,000 (usually don’t make $$)

– Wounded Airman Benefit Recap: Went really well in spite of chaos; didn’t run out of food but removed it early; donations: $6800—presented a $6K check last year; costs about $23,000 which comes from the money we made on the AF Ball;

— Lessons learned—some people were intimidated if haven’t played before (have a “training table”); keep the food out next year; it’ll be at the beginning of Feb next year

— David: need to separate the two events; if we’re losing money, we need to re-evaluate whether we continue; Kristen: this year is an anomaly; lost our big sponsor 3-4 days before the event ($20K not provided), but don’t think it’ll be a money loser in the future; Linda: admin costs for the Wounded Airman Program are 22% and so we need to take this up with National

– NORAD 60^th Anniversary Ball: Bill working with NORAD Community to get their website up and get sponsors and sign-ups; President Trump is invited, but we’ll see.
