President’s Comments/Update (SMSgt Doc Apodaca)

            – AF Ball Results: lots of good reviews; thank you for setting up; want to do a hot wash on it to collect lessons learned and improve; scheduled for Monday, 25 February, 1700 – 1800 Need to get thank yous out ASAP to sponsors and Ball Committee members.

• Wounded Airman Benefit (Casino Night) results—Financial results pending; good turnout, event went well.
• – IMAGE Golf (need a POC): need a POC; Brandi or Joe may take it;  
• – Quarterly membership meeting (topics, location, etc): looking for fresh ideas & way forward; think of things we haven’t done in past or repeat successful events—meaningful, inclusive; brings ideas forward; many life members liked the Cold Warrior meeting and really liked it; concerned that AFA has been more for officers than enlisted. Voted to have Enlisted Heritage general membership meeting.  Doc will try to contact former guest speaker;  Time frame: Thursday, 28 March 2019; look at Community Partners and see where we can hold it; expect 50-60 members—send out message for members to bring memorabilia to share; we will send out an email;
