 President’s Comments/Update (Angelo Bryant)

– Sanity Check—thank you for last year’s performance; 2021 will be awesome! Asked folks to share any good things they have coming up this year; keep supporting one another & encouraging each other; Angelo is in prayer for the members

– Status of Training—had sent out an email that National sent; want to make sure everyone gets the opportunity, especially those in executive roles (to understand your role and the part you play in AFA); will send out another email link; 213% increase in completion rate in fourth quarter

– Constitution/ By Laws—will have it done by the end of this month—it’s important because it informs us what we can or cannot do; executive council will review and update

– 2021 Priorities—we do an annual projection for our chapter; we need to think of new ways to do things; want to have a virtual membership meeting in February including industry partners/community partners; if you have an idea for a theme, please contact Angelo. Hopefully, things will open up soon so we can use base facilities

– Virtual meetings First one in Feb—membership meeting at start of February

– Executive Council assignment status—Gerald has received orders, so he’ll be departing in the Spring; if anyone finds out they are departing, please contact Angelo as soon as you can. Need status (position & status) of each executive council member by Friday, 21 January 2021. We want to ensure smooth transitions; Justin Althoff & Shierae Bryan have time on station and expect to get orders; VP for Membership (Kristen) will be resigning too; and Angelo could even get orders.

– CO Secretary of State Delinquency Notice—Dave Shiller received an email on this saying we haven’t paid; initially thought it was a scam but turned out to be valid. Board approved payment.

Hispanic Board (non-profit) are looking for us to re-up with them and maintain official ties with them; their fee is $200
