– Update on NDIA COS Defense Community donating funds for Peterson AFB enlisted housing & in dorms with A/C; Initiative by NDIA-RMC President.  This air conditioner project was born from 18-24 months ago when former 21SW/CC, Col Tom “Falz” Falzarano approached Phillip with the issue he was having with housing residents not being able to sleep during the heat of the summer because the base housing units didn’t have air conditioner units (window units or otherwise).   Col Falz felt this was impacting their ability to accomplish their mission because the housing residents weren’t getting their needed rest.  No current funds to support approx. 110 Families on Peterson for floor model AC units. Collaborated with 21SW legal and CE.  CE was in the process of working out, with the support of privatized housing company, the specifications of the needed A/C units.  When the COVID pandemic hit last year, Peterson AFB asked us to pause on the project, as they thought the privatized housing company might have its own solution to the issue.  Unfortunately, we learned last week that their solution won’t be available for five or six years. Brig Gen(s) Jim Smith, P-S Garrison Commander, and his IMA, Col Jennifer Fitch, re-approached us on this project. I encourage all the senior leaders on this email to consider supporting this project and help realize Falz’s goal of taking care of his airmen and their families.  *** One time donation of $5,000- CE will hold A/C Units and schedule distribution. Hand-receipts for unit given to member for accountability. (Tracking No’s from Paul, Steve,
